The CHBS program is provided to families with issues of child abuse and neglect. All referrals for the CHBS program are made through Child Welfare Services of the Department of Human Services.

The CHBS Case Management staff of the Children's Justice Center provide an array of educational and rehabilitative services designed to:

• prevent children's removal from the home,


• assist in the reunification process back into the home, or


• stabilize adoptive or other permanent out-of-home placements that are at risk of disruption
